Brew Club is doing a SMaSH competition/hop-tasting.

Lock in the Malt and the Yeast to be used by all, then the brewers pick a hop variety. Bring it to the September meeting and taste them. I had to choose Pacific Gem as my hop variety. Most others were taken. 25+ people joining in on this fun competition.

Got a 5 gal. batch of my Hanukkah Honey mashing right now. Hanukkah is early this year so have to get it going, though at only 6% it'll be ready way ahead of time.

Must be nice having the basement free again. What did you tell them to say to their parents?

Gluten reduced IPA, using up freezer hops that I had on hand. Didn't bother throwing it into beersmith, or writing down a recipe, but has cascade, amarillo, simcoe, columbus in it. May dry hop with galaxy, or brew another ipa soon and use galaxy in that.
