Just did a Pumpkin Saison.
Did my first partial-mash with the pumpkin and some 6-row.
Listened to the Russian River show from 2010.
I love Vinnie. Sorry Natalie.
Also baked a couple loaves of bread. A good Sunday. :jnj
Gimme oysters and beer (and Durian) for dinner every day of the year...

May 9th here :( But I am putting in the last layer of (structural) floor in the brewery today. Another step closer. Unfortunately with the revelation that the 1st layer wasn't going to be enough & liquid nails failure I have to make a new runner for the exposed edge since the old one won't be tall enough anymore. Then there's just the decorative layer, sealing it up, the FRP & a couple minor tweaks. The end is in sight!

Unfortunately I had no excuse. Summer time just gets too damn hot and busy.

You can only screw so much before you run into problems.

The IIC (that's Idiot In Charge) didn't buy enough plywood or screws... or more like they got used in other projects. Luckily I don't need the window panel for the A/C from the old apartment which just happened to be the same kind of ply. I'm not going to town for a week or 3, but I was able to get in touch with someone who needed to run to town & is bringing me some screws a bit later today. It'll get wrapped up tomorrow morning. After that floor & getting the lawn mowed, it's beer thirty.

And BTW, my screws didn't show up. She was out doing some feed bales, they might have run long so I'm not really worried about it. I have to go hand select the new runner the next time I'm in town which needs to happen before the next step so it's not a huge rush or anything. At least the floor's laid in place, waiting to be screwed & solid as a rock. Sorta like a fat chick.

I was gonna say:
Ozwald wrote:And BTW, my screws didn't show up.

Ha ha!
Or...
Ozwald wrote:At least the floor's laid in place, waiting to be screwed

Of course!
But you said...
Ozwald wrote:Sorta like a fat chick.

Which sorta summed it up.
So, I'll go with:
Ozwald wrote:I have to go hand select...

"Hand select"? :D
Gimme oysters and beer (and Durian) for dinner every day of the year...

That's the problem with ordering hookers on the internet when you live out in the sticks. Probably why they never adopted the "hot & at your door in 30 minutes or it's free" campaign.

It's when you go there, rub your hands up and down the wood & admire it, all while scrutinizing it's particular nuances. You can't go home with just any wood now, can you?
